TIFFIN, OH – OFBC and The Gillmor Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of its annual scholarship awards, supporting outstanding local students as they pursue higher education. This year’s scholarships have been awarded to three exemplary graduates attending area universities in the fall.

Lexi Moon – Heidelberg University
Lexi Moon, daughter of Kari and Ernest Moon, is the recipient of the OFBC and Gillmor Foundation scholarship for Heidelberg University. She plans to get a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Sports Management. A graduate of Lakota High School, Lexi was actively involved in several school sports including Varsity Softball and Varsity Girls Basketball, a member of the National Honor Society and was the Class Vice President for Student Council. Lexi has received awards for academics and athletics including being in the top 5% of her graduating class, All-Ohio Academic Award, and the Coaches Award. She has also dedicated time to volunteer for several causes including the Special Olympics, blood drives, and various fundraisers.

Daniel Sanchez – Tiffin University
Daniel Sanchez, son of Danny and Jessica Sanchez, has been awarded the Old Fort Banking Company and Gillmor Foundation scholarship for Tiffin University. Daniel will pursue a degree in Finance. A graduate of Fremont Ross High School, Daniel was a member of the Varsity Track and Field and Varsity Cross Country teams. He was part of several leadership programs including Teen Leadership Corps, and LINK (Lead, Inspire, Nurture, Kindle). Daniel has volunteered multiple hours per month assisting at the Great Lakes Recovery Center helping those who struggle with addiction as well as coaching youth soccer teams.

Natalie Gutman – University of Findlay
Natalie Gutman, daughter of Michelle and Christopher Gutman, has been awarded the OFBC and Gillmor Foundation scholarship for the University of Findlay, where she plans to study Pre-Med Biology. A graduate of Findlay High School, Natalie has been on her school’s Girls Golf, Cross Country, and Track and Field teams and has received several awards including numerous scholar-athlete awards and distinguished honor roll. She was also a member of the Hancock Youth Leadership Program and the First National Bank Junior Board of Directors. Her extensive volunteer efforts including assisting with the Women’s Resource Center, Vacation Bible School, various blood drives, and St. Michael’s fundraisers.
